Shipped from on October 3, 1962, this example is a notably clean original with no breaks or repairs. The black Top Hat knobs with silver reflectors, nickel control plate, and Kluson Deluxe 3-on-a-plate tuners with black buttons are all correct and unmodified. Its bridge-mounted single-coil pickup reads 7.38k, and the original electronics remain intact, with pot codes dating to the 37th and 40th weeks of 1961. The hard-stamped serial number on the back of the headstock matches Gibsons 1962 numbering system.

The natural nitrocellulose finish retains a warm amber hue, showing only minimal checking and a few light nicks around the edges. Metal components display very light tarnishing. The original brown case with red plush lining is included, with a replaced handle. Tuned to C6 (C-E-G-A-C-E), this Skylark is light, compact, and ready to play straight out of the case.
